V-(으)ㄴ/는 김에
This grammar point is used to express an action that follows another action which was not planned and happened coincidentally.
In English it is similar to "Since A why not do B".
Examples:
우리 만난 김에 저녁 밥을 같이 먹자 = Since we met let's eat dinner together.
한국에 산 김에 한국어를 배우고 있어요. = Since I live in Korea I am learning Korean.
우리 맥주를 마신 김에 안주도 먹을까? = Since we are drinking beer shall we eat some food.
재봉 씨는 서울에 간 김에 홍대에서 놀 만해. = Jaebong since you are going to Seoul it's worth partying in Hongdae.
